This Network was formally created through an Agreement signed in November 1996, in the San Luis National University, during the second edition of the Argentinian Congress of Computer Sciences, with the participation of 5 National Universities (UNSL, UBA, UNLP, UNCPBA and UNS). In 1997 the Universities from Comahue and Río IV were incorporated, and afterwards many others have joined.
Since 2003 Private Universities have also joined the Network.
Its objective is:
“To coordinate academic activities related to the improvement of the teachers' training as well as the curricular update and the use of shared resources to assist the development of both the Computer Sciences careers and the Technology careers in Argentina" and "To establish a cooperative framework for the development of Postgraduate activities in Computer Sciences and Technology, in order to optimize the assignation and use of the resources".
